Trés began preaching at twelve years old and has been preaching ever since. He became Lead Pastor of Winston-Salem First Pentecostal Holiness Church in August 2024. Pastor Trés is passionate about preaching with a commitment to the Bible, theological depth, practical teaching, and a good sense of humor. His mission is to help people move closer to God by better understanding Scripture and experiencing the transformative power of the Holy Spirit in their lives.

A fourth-generation ordained minister in the Cornerstone Conference of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church (IPHC), he has served on pastoral staff in three local churches in North Carolina from the time he was eighteen years old. Since that time, he has been a frequent youth camp, revival, and camp meeting evangelist as well as choir director and worship leader for many state and national events. He has led mission teams throughout Central and South America and has been the IPHC Next Generation representative to the Pentecostal and Charismatic Churches of North America (PCCNA) and a consultant for IPHC Discipleship Ministries.

Prior to coming to Winston-Salem First Pentecostal Holiness Church, Trés was on staff and faculty at Emmanuel University. He directed the Emmanuel Singers and Worship Ministry Teams and oversaw the revitalization of music instruction and the development of the Worship Ministry degree program. He continues to teach courses in the School of Christian Ministries as an adjunct faculty member.

He completed his bachelor's degree at Appalachian State University, the Master of Divinity from Liberty University, and is currently a doctoral candidate for the Ph.D. in Christian Worship at Liberty University. He is an accomplished musician and loves to sing with his family. He is married to his favorite singer and best friend, Rachael, who is a native of Winston-Salem. Trés likes dogs, tolerates cats, enjoys horseback riding, and has recently attempted to improve his golf game. (He now understands the meaning of “7” as the “number of completion,” because that is the average number of shots he takes to get from the tee box to the hole.)
